There Is A Feeling You Just Can't Explain, There Is A Joy That You Can't Contain.

Seems like everywhere you turn this time of year you see a "Year in Pictures" or "A Year in Review". Well, I'm not going to subject you to that but I will offer you a handful of photos from the past year (and a half) that for one reason or another were left on the cutting room floor. Maybe I'm Right, Maybe There Is No Such Thing As By Your Side.

Perhaps all you do need is love.

Well, until I find it I will continue to take pictures of bicycles I see around town.

Your Eyes Would Fair Better If It Were The Sun They Were Looking Through

Hi, my is name is Pirate and I got to stay with my buddy Adam for a week while my owners were visiting friends. Adam and I are good buds but I have never stayed at his house before. When I first got there I noticed some weird things around his place. Here are some examples:

A blow-up monkey?

Plastic ponies.

Looks like Adam is trying to drown this monkey.

I tried to eat some of these but they tasted like they were 10 years old.

Dude, ceramic lighthouses are for old people. ("I'm a lighthouse, I stay lit for you!")

Also weird, I saw Mariya wrapping Adam in Saran Wrap. Yeah, that's normal.

But despite his weirdness, we got along great and had lots of fun.

We cheered on the UNC basketball team. Boy, is that Tyler Hansborough guy dreamy or what?

We went on a few cold weather runs.

And we read books together.

Maybe we had a bit too much fun because I got a little boo-boo. I'm fine though and now I will have a scar on my leg just like Adam's. I sure hope Adam and one of my owner's stay really close because I enjoy spending time with him. Oh, yeah and Adam wanted me to tell Rebecca that this is step 4. Umm, whatever that means. Told ya he was weird.

I've Never Seen One In The Wild Before!

I had two visitors this week. Karen (far right) is an old friend from Tampa and she loves to have her picture taken as you can tell. Ike is her beloved travel campion with his own MySpace page. Rebecca (far left) is a friend from the "industry" who lives in Asheville.

While Ike rolled around on my bed......

we played Scrabble. Anyone who has played Scrabble with me knows that I love a well spaced out board. Rebecca came out on top and she also won the our rematch the following night. She watches "Spellbound" once week so it wasn't really a fair match.

The next day Rebecca meet a well know "Carborro Local" who wrote a poem for her:

This pleasant peace I know
is the calm at the ending storm
is the waves caressing the shore
as the light of the dusk when silence falls
and life comes easy like waves of stars
-Ruhi

We played in the leaves...

watched this guy eat his lunch...

walked around Forrest Theater...

smelled the flowers...

and went to Trader Joe's!!!! This one opened up in Chapel HIll on Friday, and by Wednesday I had been there three times. Unfortunately, the east coast stores don't carry the TJ's brand of vegan chocolate chip cookies.

Rebecca can shred and with style! Look for her cameo part in mine and Grey's upcoming skateboarding flick.

There was fooseball to be played.

Amy, Dave and KJ let everyone know that upper lips are overrated...

while Grey played air guitar.

Robot Toast is the next Face Book and MySpace rolled into one.
