Dancing on the Corpse's Ashes

Sabrina had already been in Africa for two months when Rob went to meet here there for a little trip. Then they planned to return to the States together. Rob's birthday fell on a day when they were still there, so we decided to decorate their place in honor of his birth and Sabrina's return. Here is how it went down:

Planning stage at Barnes Street.

It's always past my bedtime once the sun sets.

Time to get started.

Rob likes ponies.

Rob was out of town last year on his birthday as well, and in true surly fashion, he complained because his "Kari Cake" didn't have gold dusting. This year his cake was completely covered in gold.

All the decorating made us hungry however.

We did save him a few pieces of his cake.

This poster won best in show.

We have nicknamed Rob and Sabrina "Sa-blob" hence the cute blob drawing that looks a bit like the birthday boy.

OMG Ponies!

That is the old Malawian flag on the balloon. (We were unaware that their is a new flag.)

This poster is like a Dali painting; you have to look closely for all the hidden messages.

A few days later we decorated their place and....

played in their bed.

Happy Birthday and Welcome Home!
